English version text is in German?

So I recently installed the 1.5.0.8 English version of Nehrim and went through the proper installation procedure using the .pdf guide. However once I started the game up all of the in-game text was in German. What's stranger was that some of the words in the option menu were also in German while some were in English. The character creation screen text at the beginning was also in German (as was the intro quest so I have no idea what I'm doing). The intro movie at the beginning though was subtitled in English.

Is there a way to change the text from German to English? Maybe so sort of option somewhere that I'm missing? I tried altering the Nehrim_default configuration file to set the language to English but it didn't help. I also tried installing the 1.0.7.5 version instead, but I got the same results. The copy of Oblivion I have is through Steam in case that makes a difference. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it.

First off, get english version 1.5.0.8 and then make sure to have NehrimEnglish.esp activated, have a look at this thread for more information! I think he had the exact same problem as you. I can also recommend this, http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/39736 , as some texts are still not translated in the official latest version, this mod fixes some of those documents and translates them to English.
