Hello!
This is truly a mindblowing game but is there any way to change the rates at which you gain experience points? Or perhaps increase the amount needed to gain a new level. Right now it feels like I gain one level each time I take a 5 minute-stroll. I would really like to level up slower if it were possible
Level up rate

hi
yeah, you level up pretty quickly in the beginning.
that will change though, the exp needed to level up does not increase linearly.
you might also be in an area which is a bit higher leveled than you are?
edit
if you want to know more about that (and make sure your game's not buggy),
here's a list about the Character Progression

yeah, I know. I have already played through the game once. I know about the exprience table article (https://en.wiki.sureai.net/Enderal:Char ... rogression) which has all the numbers for when you level up.
I still want to level up slower though if it were possible. When I am playing Skyrim I have a mod activated which makes me level up 0.25 times the normal speed. Perhaps someone has made a similar mod for enderal? Is there any commands to increase the amounts in the experience table?

you could take a look around Nexusmods and/or the Steam Workshop
make absolutely sure, that any mods you use is up to date,
and even if they are, it's very likely that we can't help you if there are problems.
(you may have to restart your game if your unhappy with a mod that messes with the level-up, they affect your saves)
I'm not aware of a console command to change the needed exp;
you could raise the general gameplay difficulty to "hinder" faster progress
not the same though :/
btw, I was dead wrong about the progression being non-linear
