Our Mark on this World quest crash

I'm working through the quest Our Mark on this World and have brought the statute from Dal'Mercer's house to the Museum in Ark and identified the display upstairs with the crystals as having similar runes as to the statue. Esme starts the dialogue "Let's show the curator!" and then the screen fades to black and then fades out again to the curator in front of the display explaining where it's form. Before he can finish his dialogue, though, the curator disappears and the dialogue stops. I'm at a dead-end in this quest because of this. Are there any known ways to fix this?

we'll need the *.ess and the *.skse file; pack both to a zip/rar/whatever archive,
(the forum doesn't accept *.skse)

Sure, how do I upload a file from my computer to the forum? I'm really bad at html

below the text input field (and below "save draft", preview" and "submit")
there are two tabs - "Options", and next to it "Attachments".
click on that and you have the option to "add files" :)

Ok, thanks! Here's my most recent save, right in the museum. The SKSE file is attached as a zipped folder.

Thanks for your save :)

Maybe one of your mods is the cause (possibly Dead body collision, this is an old Skyrim mod).

Try the following: load a save before entering the museum. Deactivate your mods (you can try it first only with Dead body collision) and restart the dialogue.

Hi all, this one resolved! I realized that the quest "Black Light, Part II" had not concluded properly: the dialogue up at the beacon hadn't processed properly for whatever reason, but once I went back to the beacon the dialogue started up again and this time the quest updates actually went through and the quest concluded properly. The NPC's in the museum now seem to be working normally.
