Re: Enderal launcher launches skyrim instead

Welcome to the forum
That´s a Windows "feature".
If you accept the setting, Windows shows it again but the write protection is removed.
Did you activate in the Windows Explorer "hiding extensions for known files" (I do not know if this is the correct English description, my system is German )?
Did you delete the two files? So Enderal (.ini) and Enderal.Prefs (.ini)?
The launcher automatically creates new ones the next time you start.
Your anti-virus program may also block the write permission for the launcher. Put the Enderal launcher.exe on the whitelist.
You do not have to uninstall Skyrim. Enderal has separate folders.
Otherwise, try a clean install:
Uninstall Enderal, then delete these three folders:
1. ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Enderal (the game folder)
2. C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\Enderal (settings and saves)
3. C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Local\Enderal (mod-configuration)
- restart your PC
After that, reinstall Enderal and launch it via Steam.
(Install Steam and its games as admin on c:\ and not in any Windows system folders to avoid issues from the beginning. (e.g. C:\Games\Steam...)
