Ok here is my theory on the Aged Man and the Veiled Woman:

In Nehrim we destroyed fate that set everything into a certain path including the Cycle.

With fate destroyed people are now free to break the Cycle.

The Veiled Woman is a personification of chance/luck.

Now that fate is gone the dice are free to roll.

Thus it is the first time the Fleshless has the chance to escape death after the Emperor flees.

What about the Aged man?No his existence does not contradict the above, because he is not a Prophet of a previous Cycle. He is the Fleshless prophet of THIS cycle, only of an alternative universe where he is male and named Gajus. He can "spill over" to our universe and give us information as a vision. The Word of the Dead was always there as a Physical object from the start. The house was just an illusion created in order to protect the artifact.

As time is not linear he can see forward to our future and make Puppets that represent our trials with the Black Stones.

What evidence we have that there are alternative universes that can spill over to our universe where WE are the Fleshless Prophet?

1.Tealor Arantheal mentioning that time is not linear and that other eventualities can spill over to ours in the form of dreams and visions.

2.A book in magic mentioning that magicians can do magic by seeing other eventualities and bringing them into existence.

The only contradiction I see in this theory is that the Frozen Pyrean disappears WITH the mansion. If the mansion was just an illusion then the Pyrean should have been left there on the field along with the Word Of The Dead. Then Again if a mage is powerful enough maybe he/she can affect physically other eventualities and lets say relocate an artifact in another parallel universe or maybe manipulate someone to do just that.

I totally agree on the fact that our action in Nehrim when we destroyed fate also definitively changed the course of this Cycle, in the past Cycles only the Lightborns were killed.
