First let me say, that as the story in games, and the storytelling, are the most important parts for me, this is already my new favourite game (which I haven't said about any game for the last 8 years!). It really is an amazingly well told story, it's incredible to think that so few people managed it by working on it in their spare time.
But I have a question. I have finished the story, and seen both endings (I believe there are only two?), and, beware of spoilers here, both endings have a hint of finality about them. Is one considered canon over the other? I'm wondering about the future of games by SureAI, and am worried we may not see another one set in Vyn?
I know just after releasing the game, no one wants to be thinking about something like this, but this story was so amazing I can't bear the thought of no more games in this universe.
Question about the ending *spoilers*

I've also seen 2 endings but some things I've read suggest there might be more.

So it is possible to get each of the 2 endings with Calia and each of them with Jasper?

Hey there,
Very glad you liked the story!
Basically it's two endings, which can take place with either Jespar or Calia as your final companion. If you dislike both of them (or didn't romance either of them), the endings are slightly different. As for what comes next, it's rather unlikely that we will create a big Total Conversion project anytime soon. Not out of the question, but unlikely - while most of us were in our early twenties when we started developing (Some of the founding fathers of SureAI, such as Johannes and Dennis, in their early teens when they founded SureAI back in 2003) we need teed to find an option to make a living somehow. Some of us work in the gaming industry, but working conditions are really hard and don't really leave any time for grand-scale projects such as Enderal. But we'll see.
However, we're currently thinking about developing an addon that implements some new quests and quest-lines (The Rhalâta guild, for example) which we had to cut out due to people dropping out of the team. Also, the Golden Sickle quest-line (Between 5-10 different endings, highly non-linear with 5 different endings) will be patched in soon!

Hi there,
feedback first :
i just finished enderal main story, i would like to tell that i really enjoyed this total conversion, especially storytelling, musics and very understandable but rich english dialogs as it's not my native language, you did an awesome game ! i wish i could have a bit less linear main storyline, but considering that you are modders with limited ressources (not enough ppl for quest scripting if i get it from previous posts), and not an AAA company, i can understand and i dont have problem with it
-gameplay : i played as elemtarist wizard, shock spells mainly, i greatly enjoyed it, but it lacks of passive survivability if you dont rely on crowd controls/tanking spell, also i would have prefered more mobility to survive (like a blink) as there is not really a synergy to play heavy armored wizard, it's possible in early game, but as there is no mana regen or reduced consumption mana on heavy armor, it's no really possible without spamming mana potions. i would also have prefered that single target casts a bit faster. About ennemies, i miss big (ass) monsters in this game, but i admit i didn't looked much for them too.
-stability : i had oftenly ctd in my early game, i got them partially fixed thanks to this thread :
http://forum.sureai.net/viewtopic.php?f=201&t=8259
something a bit disapointing is pathfinding and ai, for pathfinding i got oftenly close ranged attackers stuck on a little stone and unable to get around it to reach me, i also noticed that if you are on a spot they cant reach, they wont even run to cover or get out of range if they cant harm you, for ai, ranged ennemis with bows are harmless, just have to strafe left/rightvery fast while he is aiming and the arrow will miss you, maybe accelerating their projectile speed would help to fix it as it's hard for ai to analyze player pattern ? i also got some quests bugged or lost allied npc, but usually a reloading fixed it. Beside previous problems, i found that enderal was very playable and stable for a fresh release, i guess a lot of bugs were corrected during german release.
Now, about the ending i have some questions too : but well, enough questions, you give us a really really good game, mature, realistic in its character's relations, not constrained by profit and marketing like too much games today, and which carry questions on human nature and a lot of others things, so, thank you sureai, you'll have my support if needed.
