What is the branch of magic that controls the summoning of creatures such as mud or ice elementals, etc.?

I had three memory points to allot yesterday and although I have concentrated on sword and shield skills I like to throw a surrogate into a melee when I am confronted with a large number of enemies. But I couldn't figure it out.

I am at level 32 and I want to acquire and cast elementals stronger than level one, if nothing else.
