>>>The Elder Scrolls Online<<<

The rumors have proven true: ZeniMax have announced an MMORPG, playing in the universe of The Elder Scrolls. Bethesda Softworks are not the developers this time, but their parent company ZeniMax themselves. Bethesda will publish the game, which will probably be available for PC and Mac only.

Soon, notably in june this year, the U. S. magazine Game Informer will take a deeper look inside the game and release a report about it. The Announcement Trailer does not give any deeper impressions about the game itself, but first superficial (leaked?) inside impressions say that
[+]
a millennium before the events of TES: Skyrim, the Dragon Fires have been extinguished, leaving Tamriel without a reigning emperor. At the same time, the daedric prince Molag Bal rises to conquer the empire. The player will probably fight for the throne with (PvE) or without (PvP) other gamers. Also an RvR mode is imaginable.
We will keep you up to date about other news.

But... how will an MMORPG do in the singleplayer world of The Elder Scrolls? Will it be an enrichment for the saga or pull it all down to nothing more than an average game with abandoned servers? Will it stand its ground against WoW?
Feel free to discuss and share your opinions here.

As normal as normal can be. Looks like the sort of gothic 4 cleanliness.
Seems all very exchangeable with other, similar, ore even better MMORPGs.
Whereas Skyrm & Oblivion etc. look more down-to-earth-rough-&-real Medieval, despite their high-fantasy setting, this looks just like the essence of typical High Fantasy without any other design parameters. The sort printed on cheap book covers, featuring underlying sexual oriented storylines, where woman showcase their upper parts & wear totally inefficient armor etc.
Therefore: Meh.

Could have been great. But... I don´t even play online Games any more, so, It´s nought to me.

If it's not F2P I'm not even gonna bother. Doesn't look like it's something worth paying every month for. :(
