Companion Choices Glitch?

CK isn't clear on this one.

I missed chatting with Jespar or a glitch?

Unsure where "Everyday Like the Last, pt. III" needs to be completed. May have botched it.

Objective "Ask Jespar about his plans."

Talk to him on the fishing ship? Other objective is something like, "Talk to fisherman lady before you return."

No "You failed the quest" message...

Much later, after Jespar is killed & resurrected, tracking him down to tavern & telling him to sober up not good idea, or wouldn't have mattered? (Everyday Like the Last, pt. IV)

Player feedback cue, "Jespar is hurt by that" and then a MsgBox I don't remember seeing in 1st play-through.

"You have failed with this character because you waited too long. However, you can still finish the MQ." (or words to that effect)

At this point both Calia and Jespar should still be options or just how game works?

Currently at "Forgotten Homeland, Part One" (air ship) if that helps any.
Thanks!

It's not clear to me what you did or didn't do. If you didn't have a chat with Jasper on the fishing boat before it reached Duneville, that might be it.

It seems to me from all your posts you rely very heavily on searching the CK for everything; perhaps that is such a strong crutch that you don't catch everything you're supposed to while actually playing the game. To each his own, if that is how you enjoy it. :|

Blew it then. Ah well... Ignored a friend, so stands to reason he'd blow me off after what he's been through. That's RP.

All of my posts? : 0 ! That's a stretch, but an interesting thought.

Brief aside:

I play Enderal more like an infantry tactics / infiltration game which it isn't-- just a habit I guess. Can lead to some silly moments. Never go in the obvious direction with an enemy behind you. So I hop up past some rocks to get over the palisade of a Nehrimese camp. Ambush time... Only no one is in there! Don't think dev's expected people to be climbing and hopping up all over the place, but that's me.

But back to your idea. Is CK influencing me? Hadn't thought of it like that.

Donated & also contacted one of the moderators before replying to any support questions & using CK. My way of giving back.

Also try to use CK to answer my own questions *before* cluttering up forum here. (Have made two mods, but very simple ones.)

Will keep CK crutch idea in mind though. It's a good observation. Am I playing the game or just studying it?

Food for thought! :)

Cheers!
