...the Skyrim setting screen. Game settings
They don't mirror one another.
i wouldn't use skyrim's launcher at all for anything involving anderal. so i guess that's the answer i'm giving.
I probably did not call these game quality panels the right thing.
There is no skyrim involved both of these are accessed thru the Enderal game and they are not connected to each other.

So my question is which one wins when it is turned up or down. Does one over rule the other?
oh, i understand now... if i recall correctly skyrim's original in-game setting menus never worked right, it's an engine bug. so the launcher should be correct.

Hmmm, well just for fun I set all the sliders on the one you access from in the game (bottom one in the picts I posted) and fences were appearing 10 feet in front of me while walking up a path. Looks like the sureAI team got that game engine feature working.

Now I guess I need to try the same test on the launcher setting.

i'm actually curious about how that turns out. though i guess not enough to... you, know... actually do it myself.
It seems they both effect the games quality and drawing distance. One does not seem to override the other.
For now I will just try and set them both as close as possible to each other.

I do wonder if these seperate game quality setting panels could cause problems for those trying to improve the games frame rate?
I like playing at 60fps 95% of the time and will lower game quality setting to get it.

do the changes you make on the ingame settings menu still hold their place after you save, exit and reload? or at that point can you tell if the visuals still match what the ingame setting switches say they are?

You have to hit save changes in the Enderal launcher for those setting to be saved and the other auto saves when you exit that panel.

This is probably only a problem if someone it trying to get their game to run at specific framerate and still have the highest quality flora and fauna. I get very bad micro studders when panning if my FR drops too low. I will take smooth panning over sharp god rays any day.
It's an immersion thing for me.
