If that doesn't work, wait a bit longer (not in the same cell that he's in, go to your house or an inn or something and sleep for a few...

It could help, if you managed to take a screenshot.

It could be that you strayed from the road, so to speak^^ If you're on the road with either Calia or Jespar, there's a certain route you have to take. Stray too far from it and they will wait for you to finish exploring.

Do you have an earlier save? From before you started the journey on the ship? Might be worth it to retry. Otherwise I'm out of ideas, sorry :S

Try playing with the options in launcher.

Deactivate experimental multithreading (helped me out of a blackscreen in antoher quest), activate OneTweak, etc. Or just restart the game/pc, seems to have helped others with same problems too.

Had the same problem, what helped was:

What also could help is activating OneTweak or lowering HUD Opacity.

Restarting your game/PC also seems to have helped some people.
