Yep, the German forum went into spam mode in the last 3 days (as it was from the 1st to the 3rd of July) which really loaded our servers with traffic (especially severe were the F5 abusers - yes Jaknet, just like you :P ) - hence we had to release it in the night to lessen the traffic as the server...

Welp, seems like there's not going to be a release date - probably to lighten the load on SureAIs servers.

So according to some little birds on Reddit the EV is releasing this week. Any truth to that?

Hmm, I thought the major issue facing the EV right now was the crashes and cut off dialogue that happened because some of the English voice actors drew out their lines too much. Now that'd definitely require re-recording I imagine. At least if I understand the issue correctly.
