This problem is known. I think everyone who played Enderal was quite irritated by it. Buuut... they cannot fix it (there was a post about it once). Apparently the gras isn't even there anymore in the editor. They have no clue how to remove it.

I believe that you can just drink a few potions at once to make up for these low values. The regen buff seem to stack.

Crafting is generally a bit sucky right now. Increasing alchemy or enchanting doesn't really do that much of a difference.
