It appears, although i have not conclusively proved it yet, that the disappearing items happen after a CTD, lockup, or other interruption of the normal gameplay.

Thanks, that fixed the animation bug, but not the safe chest issue.

The old Oblivion animation bug (http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/813915 ... tsobjects/) has begun to affect my game.

I guess that's just bad luck, it already is a really great game. I can't understand that the subtitles go by very quickly for you. You must be really slow reader then that's your fault not theirs. At least explain why you think of this... other than that the subtitles go by too quickly.

Yes, the motherboard HD audio, as well as the HD audio on my video cards, is/are disabled.

It is strange, as the exact same configuration works perfectly in Oblivion.
