I'm currently level 20 and have played pretty well exactly as you describe with no probs after the first couple of levels. I'm still wearing full light armour though - there's so many pieces that provide good magic related bonuses. Don't train up Destruction too high though - there is plenty around ...

My Destruction skill is 113. (96+17) including the Magic Storm stance. Is this doing me any good or is the benefit locked at 100?

Sorry I had a change of plan and have concentrated purely on magic, leaving weapons completely. Will I still need Blade later in the MQ? I am level 17 and just starting Act 3.

I've just started - level 5, and am aiming to be some kind of Battle Mage. At the starter mine I used the pickaxe so have developed my Blunt to 30 while my blade is 26. My current best weapon is also Blunt, so I am inclined to train up Blunt and leave Blade. However in 2 separate posts here ...
