I dragged them until I got them in-line with the safe area and then sorta punted them by running into them.

I had this problem later on - just quick save and reload. Fixed it for me.

I had the same confusion because of the nature of the quest. I automatically assumed the "mechanism" was the fire mine instead of a separate one within the coach. The key also adds to the confusion. Perhaps remove the lock since it doesn't actually serve a purpose (the door is effectively double loc...

If you use Steam, do you install this to the root /oblivion or the /oblivion/data directory?

Sorry, guess I should have been more specific. You can create your own resolution settings, but I just didn't have the time to look into it when I posted. It was very easy to do while following the documentation.

*Edit* Nevermind ... sigh ... seems my resolution isn't fully supported (1366x768) and that contriubuted to my problems. Once I figure that out, it will be perfect.

It seems that Castle Ledur is part of another quest and clearing out Castle Ledur is safe (at least so far it is).

I found this minimap mod in the German section, but my German isn't good enough to figure out how to install it since it is only an xml file. Could someone translate the essential points on installing it? I would think there should be no conflict with the English version.
