I got disheartened by the fact it didn't work and stopped searching for a solution.
I'm not familiar enough with the games locations to know where I've been, nor do I have screenshots for them, I could try to deliberately go and find some places where it lags. I might do that if I get time after work. Sorry that I couldn't provide more.

In this specific spot I will get 30fps , if I use console to change to day time, the issue persists. If I pan to the right during the day until I can't see the shadows of the trees on the left then FPS goes back to normal. Maybe it's to do with shadows and could be fixed ...

I've been enjoying the game but I've stopped playing because of FPS drops. I searched quite thoroughly in the steam forums and on reddit but I couldn't seem to fix my problem.
I get FPS drops from a stable 60 FPS to 20-30 FPS. I think this happens more frequently in areas with light effects ...
