Try to activate alchemy (and other crafted workbenches) with your weapon drawn/or ready to cast spell. Worked for me. Still an override but works.

Using teleport spells in transition area leaves the name of the area on screen until we come back to the same place. No restart or reload game helps. Not a problem for me now and I don't know if it is right place to post it.
