Even though I didn't get credit for the library book, I decided to go see the quest giver. I figured I'd see what happened, if anything, and if it didn't work, I'd abandon the quest and do it again.

When you do a quest that requires gathering of information, does it have to be performed in the sequence it is listed in the quest log?

I can tell you from experience that not everything respawns in this game.

I have two level 40+ and one level 30+, and I do a lot of off-road roaming/rangering. I've seen some things that respawned after I returned to an area several days later. But, there are several areas where even weeks later ...

You can put another 10 points in another tree, but there's no guarantee that will work, plus it may screw up the other two to a point where none of them will be useful.

Affinities only work when you're at least level 19, and have 10 points in one skill tree, then you must add 10 points in another tree for them to work.

I forgot where I read this, but it said that your conversations with NPCs can impact how things play out.

So, a nasty comment can end a conversation, cutting off valuable information you needed for something.
