I'm in the area right after that; at the top of the lift eventually we get to a dead end where we kill some rats. The wiki shows a picture with a lever hidden by some plants and a golden head but it doesn't seem to be there. Unless that is a different area.

My usual route is after handing over the three stones (before talking to anyone else) visiting Calia and immediately afterwards searching for Jespar. Til yet I had no problems.
All doors in Ark are inaccessible during the attack. It's scripted. One can't even switch between the quarters. After this day everything's normal again.

Yeah, EM is right. This is after I had the stones. As it happens my last hard save was hours back so tried forcing it forward. I did the next main quest, Black Light part 2. After that the door fixed itself again so now i can do his quest while the MQ waits for me to get some rest.

I'm supposed to meet Jespar at the inn after getting the stone and I'm getting the message that the lock won't open without a key. The inn is open, no message of key difficulty, etc.
Not sure how I got this side quest and i guess if it fails it will be no biggie, but it puzzles me why the door to the Sun Temple won't open, except the guards loitering around the entrance say i don't belong there. The door doesn't say it needs a key or anything like that.

At the end of the ark sewer in the above quest, where is the key to climb the ladder?
So I hadn't played in a while and when i did I ran the most recent update. So, has the game always looked this good, or did the last update contain a massive visual upgrade?
