I don't personally believe post-game content would be such a bad idea, so long as they incorporate it into the story rather than just bringing you to a random place and telling you to do whatever.

Regarding the flying thing (Myrads), couldn't they implement a skyzone that had little too nothing in need of loading and just kind let you soar through the clouds for a few minutes and then fade out; fading back in with you landing where-ever? Would be kind of cool.

Actually, there is a werewolf npc. He is how you start the quest chain "Myths and Legends". I don't remember where I found him, but I believe it was in the dark forest.
