do the changes you make on the ingame settings menu still hold their place after you save, exit and reload? or at that point can you tell if the visuals still match what the ingame setting switches say they are?

It seems they both effect the games quality and drawing distance. One does not seem to override the other.
For now I will just try and set them both as close as possible to each other.

I have the diagram(50), materials and skill lvl but the choice does not come up on a crafting bench or anvil.
Light armor pieces and backpacks are crafted at the tanning rack. The workbench (crafting bench?) is just for improving armor.
