I got it solved. Turned out it was all because of the MWE_base.esp file.

So I've come recently through seven circles of hell to make this mod work. However, the english translation doesn't work for some reason, even though I've copied all necessary files and they are in the right loading order. What can it be?

Update: I reinstalled the game and the mod in a slightly different order. Now the game at least launches. However, in the very beginning a message pops up, saying following:
"Script MWE_LoadScript
Trying to RunFunction index greater than function count
The Script will not run anymore"

I basically said that you should uncheck all the Bethesda ESM files (Morrowind.esm, Bloodmoon.esm, Tribunal.esm) in your launcher.
I already tried that. It still pops up about two dozen messages about missing animations and similar things. After that it either instantly crashes or loads a really ...
