                                                      What is this here anyway?
                                                      -------------------------

These files are for users who want to use the "CreationKit" of "Skyrim" more than once for the new "Enderal - Forgotten Stories".

Unfortunately, Skyrim's CreationKit only runs in the Skyrim installation folder and is therefore only partially usable in parallel installations.
This tool eliminates an ongoing renaming of folders and a source of errors associated with them. It is only once a little work.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First: this is not an official part of Enderal - Forgotten Stories, there is no official support for this.

 - You have Windows7, 8, or 10 installed?
 - I also assume that you have installed both Skyrim as well as the new Enderal and Forgotten Stories from Steam?
 - Skyrim or other applications that use these folders must be turned off during the tool.
(the "CreationKit" is automatically started by the tool)
 - You have basic knowledge of the folder structure of Windows?
 OK
 - Something fundamental yet, this tool uses so called JunkLinks or HardLinks
   (a special kind of linking),
These can be changed as desired, but not completely remove without trace, because they are within the NTFS system of your hard drive.
Has that been understood and do you agree with that?
 Then read on ^ ^

------------------------------
You already have Switcheroo to switch between Skyrim and Enderal-Classik? This has no effect and is therefore not changed.
You would then have to change only the file paths of SkyrimSky specified in the file "return_to_Skyrim.bat".
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To use this tool, you have to UNIQUE change something in your installation: (rename 3 folders)
                               _____________ ________________

The installation paths could differ with you, please note this, because that must then be changed in the batch files.

 - Rename the directory "% USERPROFILE%\Documents\My games\skyrim" to "SkyrimSky"
(Location of your settings and your scores for Skyrim)

 - Rename the directory "% USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\skyrim" to "SkyrimSky"
(Location of your current Skyrim submissions)

 - Rename the directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim" to "SkyrimSky" by default
(your installation path of Skyrim: fals not, you have to adjust the file "return_to_Skyrim.bat")]

 - by default the directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Enderal"
(your installation path of Enderal ForgotenStorys: fals not, you need to customize the file "Switch-Enderal_Start-CK.bat")

 - if these are your correct file paths, everything is ok, (work well if the files are changed, otherwise it will not work)

So at the end you have 3 times the folder "SkyrimSky" and once the folder "Enderal",
The 3 former folders "Skyrim" are no longer available or at least empty (after the first start, then with shortcut arrow).
Please take care, even if the batch checks if necessary.

The easiest way to put the 3 batch files into the folder is:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\" (If there are also your Steam games)

 - Conveniently put a link from the "Enderal+CreationKit.bat" z.b on your desktop.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This concerns the actual CreationKit in the Enderal folder:

You copy the most important files for the CreationKit from your Skyrim installation:
 "CreationKit.exe" and "ssce5432.dll", "Archive.exe", "flowchartx32.dll" and the folder "Skyrim\Papyrus Compiler"
Otherwise you will find the CreationKit in the Skyrim workshop, if not already installed.
The 2 -.ini files (SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini and SkyrimEditor.ini) are included here and are preset for Enderal-FS.
All these files must be copied directly into your Enderal directory.
Standard would be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Enderal)

So you have survived the craft lesson, if you have followed the instructions ;-)

Possible mistakes:
Your operating system or other applications have the folders read-only, so you need to change them.
One solution to the Windows Rights Management problem is z.b. the installation path:
 C:\Games\Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Start Steam now. If everything is ok there, you start the new link and use the CreationKit like you are used to it.
When you kill the CreationKit, your actual Skyrim version will be restored in 1-60 seconds (even if the CK crashes),
Never start Skyrim during this time !! (Display counts down and closes itself)
Then Enderal and Skyrim work again as usual separately.
If you crash the batch file or the whole computer during the use of the CreationKit, then directly after the PC restart
for security, execute "return_to_Skyrim.bat". This will tune the Skyrim paths again if there was a problem.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And so I can only wish you successful and error-free modding.

 Have fun!
 your Stefanie

and of course "SureAI" for "Enderal - Forgotten Stories". (Https://sureai.net/)
------------------------------
File List:
 The tool contains 3 batch files: "Enderal+CreationKit.bat"; "Switch-Enderal_Start-CK.bat"; "Return_to_Skyrim.bat"
 The CreationKit includes 2 files: "SkyrimEditor.ini"; "SkyrimEditorPrefs.ini"
------------------------------
uninstall:
 Performs once the "return_to_Skyrim.bat".
After making sure your 3 SkyrimSky folders (see above) still exist, you will delete the 3 existing Skyrim folders.
Rename your 3 SkyrimSky folders back to Skyrim and delete the 3 batch files.
The shortcut arrows on the folders may persist but otherwise have no effect. (as indicated at the beginning)
